My website was first put together in 2015 while I was already juggling final editing, proofreading and publishing meetings in the run up to the publication of I Belong to No One. Everything was such a rush, and everything new territory for me, including what a website might look like. It served its purpose then, but has been in need of a new look for a very long time.
With many thanks to Bob Saint John of The Right Image Studio the website is now ready to be shown off. Bob was highly recommended to me by a friend, so rather than shop around for a graphic designer I went straight to him – even though he is based in Texas, USA and I am in Australia. It just goes to show how technology has broken down geographical boundaries.
I hope you’ll take a look, and while you’re there, you might like to check out some of the interviews, which give much more background to my story.
My current manuscript, tentatively titled Florence & Lucy is once more back with editor. It feels as if I am close now to being able to present it to my agent to see if she wishes to represent me with this one. Fingers crossed that within another year the website will need an additional page to showcase that book! Meanwhile, here is the new site:

Your website is lovely, Gwen.
Fingers crossed your editor will be happy with your new offering, and that your agent will jump at representing you once again.

I have just had a peep and it absolutely looks more ‘now’ with a definite contemporary vibe to it, clean and fresh. And, also clear and easy to navigate. Job well done and those fab photos!

I’m well pleased with his design. Clean and uncluttered was part of my brief to Bob. And it met my criteria for being able to update it myself.

Preparing a good brief is always the best starting point and your guy met it well. Using a recommendation is great if you have one so much better than taking a chance with an unknown.
