I am very excited!

Eighteen months after its original publication date in Australia, my memoir, I Belong to No One, is about to be released in paperback form in the USA and Canada, available on Amazon in each country. The publisher is Orion Books under ISBN-13: 978-1409164890.

This is in addition to the already available Kindle, eBook and Audio Book versions. I am not sure about other people, but I know I still prefer to hold paper in my hands, so I am hoping this will be a welcome release.

31st January is THE day. Just a couple of sleeps away.

I have tried to include links to Amazon but for some reason WordPress keeps reverting them to the Australian website. It is easily found, however, by searching I Belong to No One, Gwen Wilson on your local Amazon site. It may also be available on order through your favourite bookstore – I’d be interested to know!

The problem is an issue that too few men and women are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy I stumbled across this during my search for something regarding this.

  9. I don]t know of your blog and story but Derrick’s re-blog caught my eye. I can relate to so much of the above synopsis re: your difficult life–so glad it has brought you to such good victories. I will look for the book in Oregon. And from one writer to another–best of good fortune!

    • I am so grateful to Derrick for his re-blog and taking my news out to a wider world. I am curious to see how my book will fare in the States. I do know that there are many people there who have been affected by adoption, and who are still fighting to have their records made available to them. While my memoir is not about the search and reunion aspect, it is certainly about the journey to relinquishment of a child. We are in each other’s lives now, and I live in a beautiful place, so the book is overwhelming a triumph over adversity story. I often see you on Derrick’s site but did not know you were also a writer. Congratulations! And – by the way – research for my current book has even revealed a connection in Oregon – in a place called Boring!

    • Thank you so much for your interest! It is still available through Hachette Australia ISBN 9780733634079. You can order a copy through your favourite bookstore and they will get it in for you. Or if you are comfortable with ordering online, you can get it through Booktopia, Dymocks, Angus and Robertson, etc. It will cost around $30. A cheaper version is available online through Book Depository. It is the Orion Books imprint. Same contents, smaller print. Many public libraries also have it in their collection.
